A 60th Birthday Legacy Invitation from the Founder & Executive Director

Dear Friends, Donors, Partners and Members of the Feet of Grace Family,

In September 2026, two members of the Feet of Grace Foundation Board of Trustees will celebrate their 60th birthdays: our Chairman, Pastor Mark Mordi, SAN, and our Treasurer, Dr Adesoji Tayo. Their milestones give us a wonderful opportunity to pause, reflect, and thank God for His goodness to us as a team.

I invite you to celebrate Pastor Mark on September 21st and Dr. Tayo on September 24th.

Then, on October 1st, 2026, I will also turn 60.

Sixty years of life.

Sixty years of God’s faithfulness.

Sixty years of lessons, challenges, and victories.

Sixty years of answered prayers and countless reasons to give thanks.

As I approach this milestone birthday, one question has stayed with me:

What can I build that will outlive the celebration?

The answer has become increasingly clear: a place where women who have lost limbs can find their feet again and discover that they can still build a future filled with possibilities.

That place is the Cedars of Grace Prosthetic Rehabilitation and Vocational Skills Acquisition Centre in Ibadan, Nigeria.

THIS YEAR, I AM NOT ASKING FOR BIRTHDAY GIFTS

I am asking for something far more meaningful: help me build a legacy.

For 11 years, the Feet of Grace Foundation has walked alongside women and children living with limb loss. We have seen the transformative power of a prosthetic limb—the moment someone stands again, takes those first uncertain steps, and begins to imagine life beyond loss. I experienced that moment myself in August 2013.

But we have also learned that receiving a prosthetic limb is only the beginning.

Learning to walk with a prosthesis takes time, patience, physiotherapy, gait training, encouragement, and a safe place to practice. For many new amputees, accessing this support as an outpatient is difficult.

And once a woman learns to walk again, another question remains:

How will she work again?

This is why we dream of building Cedars of Grace.

A CENTRE TO HELP WOMEN WALK, WORK, AND LIVE WITHOUT LIMITS

Cedars of Grace will be a residential facility where women living with limb loss can receive integrated support under one roof, including the following:

• Prosthetic rehabilitation and fitting
• Gait and mobility training
• Physiotherapy
• Counselling and psychosocial support
• Vocational and digital skills training
• Entrepreneurship and small-business skills
• Mentoring and community reintegration support

The center will also create opportunities for women to learn income-generating skills such as tailoring, catering, hairstyling, makeup artistry, Adire-making, ICT, soap-making, handicrafts, and other practical trades.

Our vision is simple:

• Not only to walk again, but to work again.
• Not only to regain mobility, but to regain confidence.
• Not only to receive a prosthesis, but to rediscover possibility.

The proposed Centre will be a place of rebuilding, restoration, renewal, and refreshing—a place where women can move from loss to hope, from fear to confidence, and from dependence to independence.

It will help women learn to navigate their homes and communities safely, acquire marketable skills, manage small businesses, and rebuild their economic futures.

The Centre will include residential accommodation, training facilities, a prosthetic laboratory, rehabilitation spaces, and disability-friendly facilities. Our long-term goal is to create a sustainable model that combines charitable support, social enterprise, and partnerships to enable the Centre to serve more people over time.

FROM A DREAM TO A LEGACY

This project has been a long-held dream.

Today, that dream is moving closer to becoming reality.

The birthday becomes an opportunity to turn gratitude for 60 years of life into a legacy that will continue changing lives for generations.

We have already identified a property in Ibadan with ample grounds for expansion that we plan to purchase this year. The first phase will focus on developing the existing building into a functional rehabilitation facility, including a fully equipped gait-training and physiotherapy space. Subsequent development will expand the Centre to include vocational training, residential accommodation, and other essential facilities.

The vision is ambitious.

But so is the need.

And I believe that together, we can build it.

MY 60TH BIRTHDAY: 60 YEARS OF GRACE, A LEGACY OF POSSIBILITY

As I celebrate my 60th birthday on October 1st, I would love for this milestone to become more than a personal celebration.

I would like it to become an opportunity to invest in the lives of women whose futures have been disrupted by limb loss.

So, I am inviting 60 individuals, families, organizations, churches, businesses, and friends of Feet of Grace to join me in making this vision a reality.

Sixty people.
One shared vision.
One legacy project.
A future of possibilities for many lives.

You can be one of the 60.

Your birthday gift to me can become a gift of mobility to a woman.

It can become physiotherapy for someone learning to walk again.

It can become vocational training for a woman preparing to return to work.

It can become a sewing machine, catering equipment, ICT training, or a business starter kit.

It can become a room where someone sleeps safely while learning to walk.

It can become part of the building that will stand for generations as a testimony that someone cared enough to help another person begin again.

WHY THIS MATTERS

A prosthetic limb can change a life.

But a place that teaches someone how to use that limb, rebuild confidence, acquire a livelihood, and return to society can change the trajectory of a life.
