2024 Walk – Theme: “The Power of You”

In 2024, we witnessed the incredible power of individuals coming together to create lasting change. The Feet of Grace Foundation’s 9th Annual Charity Walk was more than just a walk—it was a movement of hope, transformation, and impact. With the theme “The Power of You,” we celebrated the strength of every donor, volunteer, and participant who made a difference in the lives of amputees.
Walking Across the World for a Cause
The 2024 Charity Walk took place in multiple locations, each one echoing a message of resilience and empowerment:
– Geneva (the City of Geneva provided the meeting venue free of charge).
– UK
– Zurich
– Lagos (sponsored by Grooming Centre)
– Abuja (sponsored by the CCSI Team)
– Ibadan – Homecoming Charity and Awareness Creation Walk
– Uganda
– Brazzaville (the Charity Walk took place in Brazzaville for the first time in 2024)
 
Every step taken in these cities was toward restoring mobility, dignity, and independence for amputees. Participants walked alongside beneficiaries, donors met the lives they had touched, and the sense of community was stronger than ever.
A Special Homecoming in Ibadan
This year, the Feet of Grace Charity Walk came to Ibadan, the city where the story began. It was a profoundly significant moment, a Homecoming Charity and Awareness Creation Walk, that reminded us how far we have come in this journey of impact. Walking through the streets of Ibadan, we honoured the Foundation’s roots while continuing the mission to transform lives.
A Walk of Impact and Transformation
One of the most unforgettable moments of the Lagos Walk was the presentation of a motorized wheelchair to Mrs. Odusote, a double amputee grandmother. Seeing her joy and newfound freedom was a testament to why we walk year after year.
Additionally, beneficiaries received 20kg food packs, ensuring they had not just mobility but also nourishment and support. This provision was made possible by the “6 for 60” fundraiser campaign, a heartwarming initiative by a Board of Trustees member who dedicated his 60th birthday to transforming lives.
 
The Power of You: The Real Impact
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and participants, the 2024 Charity Walk achieved incredible milestones:
– Prosthetic limbs provided for amputees.
– Life-changing rehabilitation support.
– Increased awareness about limb loss and inclusion.
– Strengthened connections between beneficiaries and the community.
Each donation, each step, and each act of kindness contributed to these achievements.
Lessons, Challenges, and Looking Ahead
While the walk was a success, we faced challenges—logistics, fundraising, and ensuring all beneficiaries could participate fully. But if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that “The Power of You” makes the impossible possible.
